300 is a movie reproduction of the real events that took part in Ancient Greece revealing the political and social circumstances in the centuries when the Persian Empire was advancing to the lands of Europe where their only rival were the ancient cities of greece.

The movie is a history one, directed by Zack Snyder, starring famous actors like G. Butler (king Leonidas) and Lena Headey (king Leonidas'queen). Adapting the movie accroding to a graphic novel with the same name, the creators produced an interesting and fascinating story following real events and representing the patriotism and the pride of the famous Spartan warriors. However, it you ever get a chance to visit somewhere like property in Bodrum, you will realize how well this productions art department did.

Sparta was a famous Greek city, mostly known with its military society. Every little boy was educated in the culture of the warriors thus creating the ultimate soldiers society, governed by the famous Greek democracy headed by a king to justly deal with the state matters. After being threatened by the Persians, the brave and glorious Leonidas tries to convince the Assembly that a war with the Persians is inevitable if Greece wants to preserve its freedom and lands. After an unsuccessful try to convince the democratically elected bodies in the Assembly, Leonidas takes 300 of his finest men to resist the initial Persian invasion and thus to show the whole of Greece that the enemy is approaching, that the cruel Persian Emperor is ready to enter the free lands of Europe and to enslave the birth place of what today we know as democracy.

The movie is full of extraordinary battle scenes and special effects with the effect of computer animation so that the adaptation of the graphic novel would look much like the novel itself. The story bears an important moral lesson -it reveals the boundaries of true patriotism, the desire to bring justice and the love for freedom that 300 ultimate soldiers are ready to defend with their lives.
